MT. VERNON — Law enforcement agencies are warning residents in Mt. Vernon and surrounding areas of multiple attempted murder suspects possibly headed towards the area.

Police are looking for Devin W. Jenkins, an armed and dangerous subject wanted out of Coles County for attempted murder. Jenkins is described as a white male, 5’ 6’’ tall, 140 lbs, has green eyes and is occupying a gold GMC Envoy with three other white males.

According to the Coles County Sheriff’s Office, they are searching for Jenkins and 3 other white males wanted for an investigation of attempted murder in Charleston, about 30 miles south of Champaign.
