CENTRALIA — Centralia voters are planning a large demonstration today in response to the city council decision last week to toss out the voters’ selection of Brian Kuder as mayor and instead fill the seat being vacated by outgoing-mayor Tom Ashby with a mayor pro-tem.

According to informal movement leader J. David Parker, he believes the voters in Centralia who selected Kuder to lead the city have had their votes stolen from them.

Parker says a large crowd will gather at 11:30 a.m. today on the Broadway side of the new City Hall at Broadway and Locust to conduct a peaceful demonstration against the decision.

He also says demonstrations are being planned for other locations in Centralia to voice their displeasure with the actions of the city council.

Parker, a recent transplant to Centralia, says he believes in helping to support and improve the community where you live.
