JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Illinois Department of Transportation has canceled the planned closure of Illinois Highway 37 just north of Dix this weekend, due to the weather.

The closure was planned to begin at 6 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for a section of Highway 37 between Rileyville Road and Walnut Hill road approximately 1.5 miles north of Dix.

It’s anticipated that the closure will be rescheduled to complete the project for that area.
