MCLEANSBORO — We now know who will be serving as alderman in McLeansboro Ward 1.

Hamilton County Clerk Mary Anne Hopfinger told our sister station WMCL Monday that Billy D. Glenn beat Mike Scattone by one vote. Scattone and Glenn both got 82 votes in the Consolidated Election earlier this month. Joseph Ray Kaufman got 70 votes.

Hopfinger says the tie was settled after a single provisional ballot gave Glenn the win.

Glenn will be sworn in at the May 14 McLeansboro City Council meeting.
