MT. VERNON — The city of Mt. Vernon is working on its budget for the 2020 fiscal year. The proposed budget anticipates roughly $100,000 less in revenue for the coming fiscal year.

City manager Mary Ellen Bechtel says the city had a good year revenue-wise, and the city is not anticipating as good of a year the coming year.

In a previous version of the story, we incorrectly reported the city is anticipating a revenue increase because of using a wrong figure in our calculations.
