CENTRALIA — A weekend fire that destroyed a two-car garage in Centralia has been deemed suspicious.

Centralia City firefighters responded around 11:30 Saturday night after neighbors had spotted the fire in the 600 block of South Sycamore in Centralia.

Upon their arrival, they reportedly found the garage completely engulfed in flames. Second-shift firefighters were called in to assist in fighting the blaze. They remained on the scene just over an hour.

Nothing of notable value was inside the garage and the building had no utilities. Damages are estimated at $3,000.
