FRANKLIN/WILLIAMSON COUNTIES — IDOT says work is set to begin Monday, April 1st on the road widening project on I-57 in Franklin and Williamson counties.

Officials says one lane will be added in both directions on I-57 from milepost 57 to 65.

The proposed work includes earthwork, HMA pavement, HMA resurfacing, erosion control, traffic control and protection, guardrail, seeding, under-drains, pavement markings, signage and rumble strips.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during night construction operations only.

You should use extreme caution through this work zone and be aware of speed reductions and traffic control devices.
