MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon City Council approved an amended request from the Mt. Vernon Police Department to purchase 5, 2019 Ford Interceptor vehicles, at the March 25th meeting.
MVPD Chief Trent Page says the problem has been building up over time.
By approving the purchase now, the city will save anywhere from $5,000-$8,000 per vehicle before the manufacturer raises the pricing on newer models.
