MASON, TN — A 59-year-old Centralia woman was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in federal prison after she earlier pleaded guilty to six of seven drug-related counts charging her with the distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine in Marion County.

Anthonette “Big Mama” Strowder was one of more than a dozen people arrested in connection to an eight-month investigation into drug trafficking in the area

Strowder was the only subject in the 2017 drug sweep that was ultimately charged in federal court.

Of the seven counts against her, she pleaded guilty to Counts 2 through 7, which charged her with the distribution of meth from June 13 and 14, 2017, as well as the distribution of cocaine on multiple dates in November 2014.

After Strowder pleaded guilty to those six charges late last year in federal court in East St. Louis, she was ordered to turn herself over to the U. S. Marshal Service no later than December 7, 2018, to await her sentencing.

She’s been held at the federal prison in Mason, Tennessee since that time.
