ILLINOIS — It may be fall, but an early season winter storm is expected to hit our area late today into tomorrow. The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued Winter Storm Warning that will be in effect from 3 this afternoon until 6 tomorrow night. We could see anywhere from two to five inches with isolated higher amounts possible. Light freezing rain will also mix with the snow in some locations.

This winter storm will affect portions of southern Illinois along and west of I-57 and portions of southeast Missouri along and north of a Cape Girardeau and Marble Hill line. Plan on dangerous road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the Thursday morning commute.
