MARION COUNTY — A 42-year-old Centralia man is heading to trial after a Marion County judge rejected a plea agreement Thursday.

Andrew Cranford is facing a Class 2 felony burglary charge and two Class 3 felony theft charges stemming from an April 2017 burglary in Odin.

Cranford and his attorney presented a negotiated plea in court Thursday.

However, Judge Michael McHaney rejected the plea when Cranford reportedly failed to acknowledge guilt or to plead knowingly and voluntarily to the burglary charge.

The case now remains set for a final pre-trial hearing on November 1.

According to police, Cranford broke into a building on East Main in Odin and took a car trailer, zero-turn lawn mower, and 16 tire rims.

His arrest came after he allegedly sold 12 of the tire rims at a Sandoval salvage yard.
