MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Public Works Department will be installing new asphalt on Cherry Street Tuesday and Wednesday. The work will be done between 12th and 17th Streets.
Cherry Street will be closed to traffic each day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day. Street parking will also not be allowed during that time period. Residents in the work area will need to park their vehicles on adjacent side streets because they will not have access to their driveways during that time.
