A three-vehicle injury crash happened around 12:30 Thursday afternoon on Route 13 at the intersection with Route 166 near Marion.

Illinois State Police say 52-year-old Gary D. Turcott of Harrisburg was driving his vehicle east and ran through a red light at the intersection striking a pickup truck going north driving by 51-year-old Mark A. Woolverton of Grantsburg. The collision between Turcott’s and Woolverton’s vehicles caused Turcott’s vehicle to spin out of control and collide with another pickup truck going south driven by 20-year-old Noah Dean Lerch of Marion.

A passenger in Turcott’s vehicle, a 16-year-old male of Harrisburg, was in the front seat and suffered capacitating injuries. He was flown to an Evansville, Indiana hospital. Gary Turcott suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported. Everyone involved was wearing seat belts.
