JOHNSTON CITY — Two people were arrested on drug charges after the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, Illinois State Police SWAT Team and the Johnston City Police Department executed a search warrant at a home located in the 800 block of West Broadway Street in Johnston City Thursday.

Officials say 63-year-old James Hutchison was placed under arrest for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.  In addition, 29-year-old Mitchell Wright was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Both men were taken to the Williamson County Jail.
