Four people have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of burglaries that have happened recently in rural West Frankfort.
Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones says 38-year-old Michael Andrew Perkins of West Frankfort is charged with residential burglary, felony theft, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and possession of hypodermic syringes.
Fifty-year-old Dawn M. Lay of West Frankfort is charged with residential burglary, felony theft, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and possession of hypodermic syringes.
Forty-six-year-old Clinton W. Crabtree of Herrin is charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a convicted felon and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
And 25-year-old Chelsie D. Schaefer of West Frankfort is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff says more arrests and further charges are possible.
