MARION — Police in Marion were called out to the emergency room at Heartland Regional Medical Center around 8:45 Sunday night regarding an Eldorado man who had a gunshot wound to his chest.

Police identified the man as 20-year-old William J. Emmons. Emmons was later flown to an Indiana hospital. It’s unknown where Emmons was when he was injured.
