IDOT has announced plans to close part of U.S. Route 45 through Fairfield next week.
IDOT will be working on the Norfolk Southern Railway crossing on U.S. 45. The road is expected to be closed Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 13th, weather permitting.
Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra time for trips through the area. Access to businesses will be maintained during the closure and a marked detour will be posted for the closure.
