Carbondale Police have arrested one man and are looking for another man involved in an alleged shooting incident that happened Sunday in the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue.

Police say officers went to that location and saw one man firing a handgun at a vehicle. The individuals inside the vehicle also fired handguns at the man as they fled the area.

During the course of the investigation, officers identified those inside the vehicle as 21-year-old Rahsaan D. Graham, Jr. of Murphysboro and 35-year-old Renard M. Ward of Jackson, Tennessee.

Arrest warrants were granted for the two men Tuesday charging each of them with aggravated discharge of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm. Graham was additionally charged with intimidation and unlawful communication with a witness. The bond on Graham’s warrant was set at $2,500,000. The bond on Ward’s warrant was set at $1 million.

Officers found Graham Wednesday morning in Murphysboro and arrested him without incident. He was taken and lodged in the Jackson County Jail. Ward has not yet been found. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
