An investigation by the Marion Police Department’s Narcotics Unit has led to two drug-related arrests.
Police say on May 31, the narcotics unit began an investigation involving 30-year-old Joseph B. Barnaby and 37-year-old Jeffery J. Jones.
During the investigation detectives saw several traffic violations on a vehicle Barnaby was driving with Jones as his passenger. During the incident a search of the vehicle was conducted. Detectives located and seized methamphetamine, multiple controlled prescription tablets and various articles of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives executed a search warrant yesterday (Thursday) at Jones’ home in the 800 block of Jodi Lane and found additional controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition.
Jones and Barnaby were taken to the Williamson County Jail following the completion of the investigation.
Barnaby was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Jones was charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon.
