A Coello man was recently arrested for aggravated cruelty to animals.

Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones says further charges are anticipated against 21-year-old Samuel E. Baker.

Jones says deputies assisted Franklin County Animal Control officers in serving a search warrant and conducting an ongoing investigation at Baker’s home and property in Coello.

Animal Control took custody of dogs, birds, pigs and chickens that were being kept on the property in a neglected fashion.
