No injuries were reported early Saturday morning when a car reportedly plunged from The Point on Raccoon Lake and into the water.

According to the Centralia Fire Department, the 17-year-old female driver was able to swim safely to shore but the car ended up in about 500 feet from the shore.

The driver reportedly told fire fighters that she had fallen asleep around 5:45 a.m. Saturday morning and ran off the park road, down a steep drop off and into the water.
