Tri-County Electric has updated WMIX on the current power outage situation in their 3 service counties (Jefferson, Marion and Washington).

Massive widespread tree destruction due to high force winds broke many power lines and knocked poles down during Thursday morning’s storm. Tri-County has called in extra crews to work overnight restoring power to the 1100+ customers still currently without power.

The worst of the issues have been reported in Northern Jefferson and Southern Marion counties.

Tri-County estimates power will be restored at the latest sometime tomorrow for all customers.
