The Mt. Vernon City Council will hold their first monthly meeting of May tonight at the Rolland Lewis Community Building at Veterans Park.

Bid results will be heard on the remodeling of Fire Station 1 and quotes for banking services for automated water meter reading system will be read.

The City Manager will also request permission to waive bidding procedures to purchase three new squad cars through the state of Illinois purchasing contract.

The City Attorney will report of ordinances approving TIF redevelopment agreement with Southern Illinois Tile & Carpet, Kingdom Seed Ministries, Inc., and Ram Property Development LLC.
