A 27-year-old Iuka man is in the Clay County Jail after he was arrested for alleged burglary of the ADM Elevator in Xenia Township.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Zachary N. Goff has been formally charged with burglary. His bail has been set at $50,000.
Goff is accused of forced entry into the ADM building on April 25, where several tools were reportedly stolen.
An investigation between the Clay County and Marion County sheriff’s departments ultimately resulted in the recovery of several of the stolen items when a search warrant was secured and executed on a rural Marion County residence.
Both Sheriff’s Offices were assisted by the Clay County and Marion County State’s Attorney.
Goff is currently on parole from Illinois Department of Corrections.
