A 42-year-old Carterville man has been issued a notice to appear in Marion County Court on a charge of felony home repair fraud.

Prosecutors claim Chad Harmon entered into an agreement with a homeowner in May 207 to construct a concrete driveway.

They say Harmon allegedly received a payment of over $1,000, but did not intend to complete the work.

The charge is a Class 4 felony punishable by up to a year in the Illinois Department of Corrections if convicted.
