You are invited to learn the latest in tree care during a tree care workshop set for Monday at Twin Oaks Lodge in Benton. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m.

Topics that will be covered include how a tree works and why that’s important, selecting the right tree for the right place, how to plant a tree correctly, pruning techniques and a planning demonstration.

Presenters at the workshop include Trees Forever Program Manager Barb Grabner-Kerns and Aaron Hargon, Vegetation Management Supervisor with Ameren Illinois.

The tree care workshop is sponsored by Trees Forever and the cities of Benton and Sesser.
