Carbondale Police and the Drug Enforcement Agency will be giving you the opportunity to get rid of your unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carbondale Police Department. It’s located at 501 S. Washington St.

Police say they are doing this to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps, only pills or patches.

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
