A Carbondale man was recently arrested and charged with attempted residential burglary after Carbondale Police responded to a home in the 500 block of South Rawlings in reference to a report of a suspect attempting to force his way inside a home.

Police went to the scene at 12:30 last Thursday afternon and found 26-year-old Dewayne Perrian fleeing on foot from the home. Perrian was captured by officers after a short foot pursuit. He was then arrested, charged with the offense and lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
