A 25-year-old Odin woman was sentenced Wednesday to 4-years in prison after she pleaded guilty to felony burglary.

Lacie Linder was given credit for periods of time served since her initial arrest in the case in August 2017.

Linder was one of four people arrested in connection with numerous burglaries in the area, mostly involving storage units. Items reported stolen have been recovered in Clinton, Jefferson, and Marion counties.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, they began investigating the burglaries in July after they arrested 34-year-old Jessie Wiese, of Sandoval, in connection with the theft of a side-by-side.

A few days later the sheriff’s office arrested, 50-year-old Wallace “Wally” Kaufman, of Sandoval, in connection with the possession of a stolen motorcycle and possession of a controlled substance.

His 29-year-old son Jonathon Kaufman, also of Sandoval, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor theft and felony possession of methamphetamine.

According to reports, deputies have recovered nine truckloads of items believed stolen from various locations, along with items recovered from the Kaufman residence and a storage unit connected to Weise. Wiese has also been sentenced to 4-years in prison for his role, while charges remain outstanding against the Kaufmans.

Linder was arrested days into the investigation for alleged burglary and possession of stolen property.
