This year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge, benefiting the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois, takes place Saturday morning at 10 at Rend Lake in Benton.

This event has been going on now for 19 years. Over the years more than 66,000 plungers have raised more than $18.4 million for Special Olympics Illinois.
