Dual credit courses offer families a way to save on college expenses.
Dual credit courses let students earn credit towards their high school diploma and college degree at the same time. Illinois Community College Board Executive Director Doctor Karen Hunter Anderson says there has been a dramatic increase in these courses in recent years, which she expects to continue.
She says this reduces tuition costs and time in college.
Anderson says they are working with schools to increase dual credit offerings to help meet the growing demand.
