Illinois State Police report a 43-year-old Pana man was killed in a car-pedestrian accident Thursday night in Loogootee.

According to ISP, around 5:41 p.m. Joshua Wilson was walking on North 2135 Road in Loogootee when he reportedly grabbed the partially open driver side window of a van being driven by 38-year-old Bruce Snow, of Farina, as Snow drove past him.

Wilson reportedly fell off the side of Snow’s van and was run over. He was transported by ambulance to the Fayette County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

State Police say no charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
