CARBONDALE — Passengers on a Greyhound bus avoided injury Friday night when their bus hit an embankment in Carbondale.
The bus left the roadway at Illinois Highway 13 and Reed Station Road. It would come to a stop in the ditch after hitting the embankment.
Carbondale Police responded to the call around 8:30 p.m. Friday night and reported that the driver had suffered some sort of medical condition and that none of the nine passengers suffered injury.
The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment related to the medical episode.
