The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce has announced a new program to encourage you to shop local and support the local economy. “Chamber Buck$” is a gift card program good in Jefferson County similar to programs launched by other chambers and merchants seen to bring significant new dollars into their economies.

Jefferson County Chamber President Tony Weilt, who was a guest on the Southern Illinois Insider show on WMIX, says the program is for anyone and everyone.

Weilt gave an update on the gift cards status as far as being able to begin purchasing and or using them daily.
