HAMILTON COUNTY — Two people who stole baby formula from a McLeansboro grocery store back in July recently pleaded guilty to retail theft in Hamilton County Court.

Hamilton County State’s Attorney Justin Hood says 43-year-old Edward Lambert of Lenzburg and 36-year-old Jennifer Holdren of Waterloo were sentenced to three years in state prison.

Hood says the couple went to Food Park grocery store in McLeansboro and took 22 containers of baby formula. They were captured on in store surveillance cameras taking the items without paying for them.

The McLeansboro Police Department handled the case.
