CLINTON COUNTY — A 27-year-old Arizona man who was being sought after he jumped from the back of a moving ambulance around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning on Route 161 near Shattuc Road has been found.

According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, the man was located Wednesday afternoon in the same area where he had first jumped from the ambulance and then jumped from the Crooked Creek Bridge near Shattuc Road.

The man was being transported to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for a psychiatric evaluation when he jumped from the bridge and into a heavily wooded area.

The man faces no criminal charges and was not believed to be dangerous.
Deputies were able to ping the man’s phone this morning and determine he was still on the west side of Centralia.

A number of motorists reported spotting the man after the media reported the situation.

He agreed to be taken to the hospital for the evaluation.
