(MT. VERNON, IL) — Authorities with the Mt. Vernon Police Department were called to a domestic dispute Saturday morning at the Huck’s Convenience Store located in the 3300 block of Broadway, where they arrested two individuals from San Diego, California. Arrested were 22 year old Trayvon Moore-McFadden and 36 year old Iyana Linder. Upon investigation, Moore-McFadden was taken into custody of charges of domestic battery and disorderly conduct. A K9 unit was called in after authorities witnessed Linder putting a duffel bag into the trunk of the car during the dispute. The K9 officer alerted on the car and a vehicle search was conducted. The investigation led to the discovery of individually packed baggies of cannabis, a substance that was field tested positive for cocaine, and handgun ammunition. Moore-McFadden was additionally charged with manufacture or delivery of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams and possession of firearm ammunition without valid FOID card. Linder was taken into custody on charges of manufacture or delivery of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams and possession of cocaine. Both parties were transported to the Jefferson County Justice Center where they were awaiting the formal filling of charges and the setting of bond.
