(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council is scheduled to meet this evening.  Among items on the agenda, the City Manager will request permission to seek bids for sewer improvements on Northbrook Drive, for the expansion of the Aquatic Zoo parking lot, and for improvements to the Lincoln Park parking lot.  The City Attorney will give a second reading of an ordinance annexing real estate to the City of Mt. Vernon, first readings of ordinances regarding the sale of fireworks, increasing the number of restaurants with lounge licenses, and service agreements with Westport Pools for services at the Aquatic Zoo and with Jefferson County Sports Authority for concession services.  The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Rolland W. Lewis Building.
