(ROYALTON, IL) — Franklin County Emergency Management Director Ryan Buckingham says his office spent all of yesterday in the Royalton and Mulkeytown area assessing tornado damage and speaking with residents. Buckingham says the National Weather Service was also in the area surveying the damage as well. He says three homes were destroyed and one additional home was located that is capable of being lived in with repairs needed from the damage. Since the storm, all roadways are back open and power has been restored to those affected in the area. Buckingham says at this time his office is not requesting any volunteer assistance or donation of goods except for assistance that can be provided locally or directly to the families affected at their request. He asks that the public respect the property and privacy rights of the families affected as they begin to recover from this incident.
