(MT. VERNON, IL) — A Wood River woman was arrested after a traffic stop conducted by JCSO deputies early Thursday morning. At 12:21 a.m., authorities interviewed the occupants of the vehicle and arrested 38 year old Tessie Gibbs. Deputies located loose money in excess of $1,400, a quantity of ALFA PVP, drug equipment, and drug packaging materials. Authorities indicate that ALFA PVP is a newer and very dangerous synthetic drug. Gibbs is in the Jefferson County Jail charged with Possession of a Controlled substance with bond and court date to be set.
