(CARBONDALE, IL) — Carbondale Police are looking for a missing girl who hasn’t been seen since last week. Police say 15-year-old Kayla M. Erickson was last seen in the 1000 block of East Park Street around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 28. Erickson is described as a white female, standing about 5’11” tall, weighing about 230 pounds. She has   brown eyes and brown hair – although she has been known to have her hair colored blonde, blue, red, etc.). She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, a black jacket and grey jogging pants with “FLAWLESS” on the side of the pants. She has a heart and “Love” tattoo on her left hand. Erickson’s nickname is “K” and she may be trying to get home to Chicago. She has been known to run away in the past and has traveled as far as New York and Indiana. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Erickson should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
