CENTRALIA — The Centralia Police Department is conducting an investigation into two reported incidents of children being lured to a vehicle by a stranger while walking home from school.

The Police Department has made contact with all area schools and is having them notify the parents of all students.

Authorities ask that anyone having information regarding these incidents, or if you have a child who has been approached by a subject in this manner to please contact the Centralia Police Department immediately.

The Centralia Police Department will be continuing its investigation into this matter and actively patrolling the areas around the schools where these reports have been made.

They also ask all parents to speak to their children about Stranger Safety and the importance of telling an adult if they are approached.
