(WEST FRANKFORT, IL) — Officials in West Frankfort say a home destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning in the 200 block of North Anna Street appears to be suspicious. According to WSIL-TV, a West Frankfort police officer saw the fire around 3:15. Officials say no one was living in the home. It had “For Sale” signs outside. Firefighters from West Frankfort, along with West City, Benton, Johnston City and Carterville responded to the fire. They were on scene for a few hours fighting the blaze. Several roads around the scene were closed off during this time. The Illinois State Fire Marshall is investigating.
