(HARRISBURG, IL) — The Harrisburg doctor accused of killing his wife was denied his request for a venue change in court Tuesday. Brian Burns was arrested in March for the murder of his wife Carla Burns. Along with that charge, Burns is accused of trying to kidnap Saline County State’s Attorney Mike Henshaw. Recently, Burns requested a change in venue because he said jurors in Saline County would be too biased against him. The judge also denied Burn’s repeated request to lower his 1.1 million dollar bond. Burn’s jury trial is expected to begin March 22nd.
