(SALEM, IL) — A 52-year-old Centralia man was sentenced Tuesday in Marion County court to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after his Drug Court probation was revoked in multiple cases. Andre Robinson was sentenced to 3-years each on 2011 and 2013 cases of felony driving while license revoked, and a 2015 case of two counts aggravated battery in a public place. All three sentences in those cases are to be served concurrently. However, a 2015 case of felony burglary resulted in a 7-year prison sentence to be served consecutively to the 3-year term. According to the court, factors in sentencing included Robinson’s lengthy criminal history that included the four cases heard Tuesday. It was also noted that he was out on felony bond and then committed a new felony so the court found a prison sentence necessary to deter others.
