(Mt. Vernon, IL) — Mt. Vernon City Councilman Dennis McEnaney has formally announced that he will seek the office of Mayor of Mount Vernon in the upcoming Consolidated Election on Tuesday, April 4. McEnaney says his campaign will center on continued economic growth based on formulas that have proven successful during his time in office. McEnaney retired as a Senior Director at Illinois Power following 29 years of service to the company.
