(BENTON, IL) — Benton Police arrested two people on drug charges after officers reported to the 200 block of South Stotlar Street in reference to a narcotics investigation around 10 Friday night. Benton officers, with help from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, searched the home around 10 and found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Thirty-seven-year-old Lola Swan of Herrin was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Forty-one-year-old Curtis R. Key was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. They were both taken to the Franklin County Jail.
