(SALEM, IL) — A 29-year-old Kinmundy man was arrested over the weekend on multiple charges after police responded to a domestic battery call. Steven Schultz of Kinmundy was arrested by Kinmundy police for alleged domestic battery, resisting arrest, and aggravated battery to a police officer. According to police reports, Schultz was initially taken into custody for alleged domestic battery. However, once the officer arrived with Schultz at the Marion County Jail, he reportedly kicked at an officer and later when being taken from the car, allegedly tried to push the officer towards a trash can. Schultz was knocked to the ground and held until additional help from the jail could assist.
