(South Roxana, IL) — Police in South Roxana are admitting they were surprised when they clocked a Ford Focus travelling at one-hundred-25 miles-an-hour Wednesday afternoon on Route 111. Chief Bob Coles says officers eventually did catch up to 27-year-old Benjamin Henke and charged him with driving 70-miles-an-hour over the 55-mile-an-hour speed limit. Coles says Henke was apologetic, but said he was just seeing how fast his friend’s car would go.
