(CENTRALIA, IL) — Authorities have identified a 35-year-old man found dead Monday night in a Centralia parking lot. According to Marion County Coroner, Hubert C. Thomason III, of South Lincoln in Centralia was pronounced dead at 11:47 p.m. Monday from an apparent overdose. Thomason’s body was found in a parking lot of an apartment complex just southwest of St., Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. A 911 caller who found Thomason reported he was not breathing. Centralia police, fire, and Lifestar EMTs responded to the scene and quickly contacted the coroner’s office. Cannon says an autopsy would not be conducted, but biological samples were taken for toxicology testing. Thomason’s name had been withheld pending the notification of family. Funeral arrangements for Thomason are in the care of Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia.
